Project Engineer II

Join ZEON Chemicals Inc as a Project Engineer II and take on a challenging role in our Louisville, KY plant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and completing small to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, including schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Design and implement operational plans for project completion.
  • Prepare engineering designs and work specifications.
  • Develop RFP packages with selection criteria and metrics.
  • Ensure safe project implementation by enforcing established safety rules and procedures.
  • Oversee contractor activities to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against the plan, taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technical personnel to support plant operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in manufacturing, preferably in a PSM plant.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in project management.
  • Safety mindset applied to self, colleagues, and contractors.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and diagrams.
  • Proficiency in SAP is preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is desirable.
  • Six Sigma training/certification is desirable.
