Position Summary:


The Engineering Services Manager will oversee engineering operations at the facility, ensuring the successful execution of projects from initial concept to operational startup.

This role involves the formulation of annual capital budgets, the maintenance of a comprehensive five-year capital strategy, and the facilitation of continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, environmental sustainability, and quality assurance.

The individual will be tasked with creating and implementing an energy efficiency and sustainability framework for the operations team.

Collaboration with financial controllers and operations management will be essential to provide accurate forecasts for capital projects and effective cash flow management for operational planning.

Furthermore, this position will deliver CAD support across all engineering functions within the organization.

This multifaceted engineering role encompasses both administrative and technical support to align with corporate operational objectives while assisting plant teams and project engineers as necessary.


Key Responsibilities:
• Provide CAD assistance to plant teams and project engineers

• Formulate and execute an energy and sustainability strategy for the organization

• Develop comprehensive five-year capital plans for each facility

• Monitor overall cash flow for operational capital budgets and manage capital budget planning.

• Offer engineering support and project development for continuous improvement initiatives

Project Management Duties:
• Conduct economic and feasibility assessments

• Develop conceptual and schematic designs

• Prepare cost estimates

• Define project scope

• Execute detailed design

• Manage cost and schedule development

• Oversee project execution, including control, commissioning, startup, and operator training.

• Facilitate project closure, including asset capitalization and performance verification.

• Evaluate equipment vendors, contractors, and suppliers for capability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.

• Actively engage in continuous improvement activities and collaborative teams.

• Collaborate with other departments to solve problems and establish best practices.

• Adhere to company standards in all work performed.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the organization.

Qualifications:
A minimum of an Associate's degree in an engineering discipline is required (Bachelor's degree preferred) along with 5-7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods manufacturing is advantageous.

• Proven track record as a project engineer or project manager.

• Proficiency in capital project development and execution is essential.

• Strong competency in AutoCAD is required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

• Solid understanding of project accounting and planning principles.

• Demonstrated project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong planning and organizational abilities are essential.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time is required.
