The ideal candidate will hold a valid medical license in Georgia and have a strong background in wound care and hyperbaric medicine procedures. A commitment to procedural excellence and familiarity with advanced treatment modalities is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Providers at Innovative Healing Systems are accountable for the quality and volume of services rendered, ensuring compliance with medical staff and hospital administration standards.
  • Offer clinical leadership and oversight for the program, including the evaluation and enhancement of performance improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct educational sessions and share advancements in patient care with hospital medical staff and clinical teams.
  • Collaborate with IHS and hospital administration in addressing complaints or claims related to the program.
  • Perform chart reviews as required for peer and quality assessments, providing necessary reports to relevant committees.
  • Facilitate the integration of the program within the hospital's primary functions.
  • Make recommendations regarding staffing and personnel for the program.
  • Ensure adequate physician coverage during operational hours for the Wound Healing Institute and hyperbaric services.
  • Dedicate a minimum of ten hours monthly to activities that promote and sustain the program.
  • Engage with Hyperbaric and Wound Care Teams in monitoring infection control and identifying preventive measures.
  • Stay informed about advancements in wound care and hyperbaric medicine through seminars and professional meetings.
  • Possess knowledge of outpatient services and familiarity with EMR systems, including coding and billing for relevant procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Medical degree or osteopathy, with training and credentials as a Hyperbaric Physician.
  • Completion of at least one problem wound management course, earning 12 Category 1 CME credits.
  • Completion of a 40-hour Category 1 CME, ACGME UHMS approved Hyperbaric Medicine course. Must hold approved hospital credentials, a state-issued medical license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Successful candidates must complete and pass all required medical screenings, background checks, and drug tests.
