Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the daily and long-term upkeep of our intricate foundry and mill machinery within an industrial manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, and rebuild industrial production machinery and auxiliary equipment.
- Operate mobile equipment, including forklifts, skid steer loaders, shop cranes, scissor lifts, and articulating man lifts, as necessary for maintenance tasks.
- Interpret safety protocols and work instructions, both verbal and written, to comprehend required specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints effectively.
- Possess a foundational understanding of general mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating assemblies (bearings, couplings, gears, gear trains, chains, sprockets, brakes, clutches, belts, and pulleys).
- Demonstrate knowledge in troubleshooting and rebuilding various pump types, such as centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps.
- Utilize precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Exhibit initiative, multitasking abilities, and effective teamwork skills.
- Basic computer proficiency is required.
