Lecturer in Animal Science

UC Davis is seeking a qualified instructor to teach courses in Animal Science. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and research in areas such as Companion Animal Care, Reproductive Physiology, Animal Nutrition, and Dairy Cattle Production. The position is temporary, with appointments made each year. The number of courses assigned for each appointment may vary depending on the type of course and percentage of appointment.
Responsibilities
The instructor will be responsible for teaching one or more lecture courses in the Animal Science major. This may also involve special observational projects or guest speakers. The instructor will be expected to demonstrate teaching excellence and have a developing record of scholarly or professional achievement in an area of expertise related to a subject area described in this announcement.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have an appropriate professional degree, such as a Master's degree in Animal Science or an equivalent discipline. A Ph.D. is preferred. The candidate will also have evidence of teaching excellence or potential for excellence, and a developing record of scholarly or professional achievement in an area of expertise related to a subject area described in this announcement.

Applicants should submit a current curriculum vitae, three reference letters, a list of courses they would be interested in teaching, reprints or other examples of their scholarly or professional attainments, a statement of teaching, student evaluations, and a statement of contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
