Job Overview

The Department of Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, is seeking temporary Lecturer positions to teach undergraduate courses from January 2024 through June 2025. These positions are dependent upon the instructional needs of the department and may be full- or part-time. A list of the courses that may be available is included below. Other courses may also be available depending on instructional needs, and lecturers can also be offered the opportunity to lead undergraduate student research projects (ECS 190/192/199 units) and develop newer seminars/courses with broad appeal in areas that influence computer science and engineering education.

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a Master's degree, and preferably a Ph.D., in CS or a closely related field. Previous teaching experience and evidence of teaching excellence or potential for excellence is preferred. The positions are covered by a collective bargaining agreement (Unit 18).

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching, a statement of contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion, the names of three references, and a cover letter identifying the course they are interested in teaching. Optional recommended documents are reprints or other examples of scholarly achievement and teaching evaluations.
