Project Manager Job Description

The Project Manager position at Baylor Scott White Health is a critical role that requires exceptional leadership and project management skills. As a key member of our Facilities Planning, Design and Construction team, you will be responsible for managing complex capital facility projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams to ensure successful project delivery, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including system, facility, and project teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and contract compliance to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement project documentation, record keeping, and financial reporting to support decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and facilitate resolution of construction contract disputes and claims.
  • Coordinate with facility occupants and assist with move-in to new facilities.
  • Prepare and present project reports and status updates to executive leadership.
  • Review and analyze change order requests for merit and cost reasonableness.
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings, review bids, and recommend contract awards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety risk assessment, environmental health, and infection control policies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • 10 years of experience in project management, construction, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate construction project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction principles, processes, and industry standards.
