Job Overview

Graham Technologies is seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team in Washington, D.C. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our clients. This is a hybrid position that requires a strong background in scripting and programming languages, as well as a deep understanding of cloud services, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud computing networks, ensuring seamless connectivity across remotely located servers.
  • Establish front- and back-end platforms to optimize cloud network performance and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain operational cloud-based delivery systems, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Utilize scripting and programming languages to implement and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Leverage expertise in AWS and other cloud computing technologies and best practices to design and implement robust and scalable cloud solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize cloud systems for performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Active TS Clearance.
  • More than five (5) years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and computing.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages relevant to cloud computing, such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and setting up cloud computing networks, focusing on AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
  • Ability to develop and maintain operational cloud-based delivery systems, focusing on efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing, adapting to evolving industry standards.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced AWS certifications include AWS Certified Advanced Networking or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
