About the Role

eTeam is seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Technician to join our team. As a Datacenter Technician, you will be responsible for performing server deployment and maintenance in our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Server Deployment: Install servers and switches in racks, un-rack servers and re-rack replacements, and perform Ethernet, fiber, and power cable wiring.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Replace disk drives and memory, diagnose simple hardware issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Fiber Work: Conduct fiber work, including scope, light meter, and cleaning.
  • Package Management: Organize packages coming in and out of the data center, report damage packages to Logistics, and process Overdue RMAs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Network Infrastructure Engineers, field technicians, ISPs, equipment vendors, and internal operations and engineering staff to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of servers and network infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Experience: Must have experience in a data center environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift pounds and un-box and move equipment for several contiguous hours/days.
  • Language: Proficiency in both English and local language in country of assignment.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
  • Tools: Must have a laptop, cell phone, and a basic set of hand tools.
Working Conditions

The job requires movement between locations that may not have access to public transportation. Daytime (8 am - 5 pm, M-F) availability is preferred for training, but night and weekend work may also be required at some points.
