Position Summary
As a Certified Cardiac Catheterization Technician, you will assume multiple responsibilities, including serving as a Cardiovascular Technician or Hemodynamic Recorder during cardiac catheterization procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting the Cardiologist or Electrophysiologist in delivering high-quality cardiac care.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Demonstrate proficiency in all cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Identify cardiac structures and associated disease processes.
- Practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles.
- Assist in data collection for accurate hemodynamic pressure measurements.
- Ensure proper archiving of angiographic and procedural data.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- One year of full-time experience in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or an Associate Degree in a related field.
- Current certification from ARRT or equivalent.
- Eligibility to obtain RCIS or RCES certification within the specified timeframe.
