Role Overview:

The Environmental Compliance Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and standards. This position involves a comprehensive review of environmental assessments to identify compliance issues and manage environmental documentation effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of environmental due diligence, including Phase I and Phase II assessments, to pinpoint instances of non-compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update the environmental database, documenting all findings from due diligence efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with the innocent landowners defense provisions under applicable regulations.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal wetland regulations to ensure environmental integrity.
  • Collaborate with Environmental Counsel to secure necessary environmental permits.
  • Coordinate compliance initiatives to uphold permits and certifications.
  • Assist in the development and execution of materials management and health and safety plans.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA standards regarding lead and asbestos.
  • Work with headquarters and legal counsel to initiate Phase II assessments and implement measures to mitigate environmental liabilities.
  • Maintain open communication with legal counsel, regional teams, and governmental bodies.
  • Facilitate environmental training sessions for Real Estate teams as required.
  • Ensure all relevant environmental due diligence documentation is accurately recorded in database systems.
  • Monitor and report on environmental due diligence metrics.
  • Oversee and track Environmental and Safety processes.
  • Support headquarters and operations during bi-monthly environmental, health, and safety conference calls.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Environmental Project Management is essential.
  • Project Management Professional Certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across various organizational levels; strong negotiation and motivational skills; proven problem-solving capabilities, self-motivation, leadership, and teamwork orientation; strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills.
