About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sprinkler System Maintenance Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our customers' sprinkler systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to service calls from our customers, including commercial, industrial, and residential applications.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
- Diagnose and repair equipment using technical manuals, part manuals, and other resources.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational manuals.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with customers and district staff.
- Complete service acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for overnight travel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- 5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
- Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and be available for overnight travel.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
- Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
- Must possess and retain current State Fire Protection License or Journeyman License valid.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICET Level II certification.
