Position Overview:

As a Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
Handling incoming and outgoing calls to clients for appointment scheduling.

Effectively managing multiple tasks in a calm and organized manner.

Maintaining accurate documentation through client and pet records, including referral documentation and previous medical histories.


Providing clients with necessary instructions, information, and invoices, dispensing prescription items as directed by the veterinarian, and scheduling future appointments.

Utilizing hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.


Overseeing the financial operations of the hospital by ensuring accurate transaction balances, adhering to cash and credit card handling procedures, and following proper opening and closing protocols.

Exhibiting excellent customer service skills and maintaining a high level of professional communication.

Promoting pet advocacy through client education on preventive care, health needs, treatment recommendations, and all available hospital services.

Maintaining a positive demeanor in all interactions with clients, pets, and colleagues.

Demonstrating empathy towards clients and treating pets with kindness and respect.

Key Responsibilities / Qualifications:
Proficient use of standard office and business equipment.

Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and procedures.

Availability for a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.

Experience with veterinary software is advantageous.

Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while also accepting guidance on various assignments.

Strong organizational skills.


Critical thinking skills to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of different solutions, conclusions, or approaches to challenges.

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage stressful situations effectively.
