Health Information Data Specialist

Position Information:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of an individual's electronic health record (EHR). This involves working closely with our HIM Operations team to develop and implement processes that promote data quality and compliance. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for educating release of information staff and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
1. 1 year of experience in Health Information Management in acute care and electronic medical records is preferred.
Education:
A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required, and an Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or a Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management is preferred.
Licensure/Certification:
A Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator is required in lieu of experience.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Weekend and call requirements are as needed.
