Behavior Intervention Specialist Assistant

YAI is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will work closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care services, including counseling, implementation of treatment plans, and training in daily living skills.
- Train staff on clinical interventions, data collection techniques, and person-centered philosophy.
- Develop and implement individualized habilitative plans, conduct assessments, and design effective data collection systems.
- Oversee and maintain completion of required paperwork, including monthlies and psychiatric anecdotals.
- Provide therapeutically documented supervision to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals.
- BA/BS Degree in Psychology or Human Services strongly preferred or enrolled in a 4-year degree program in a related field.
- Experience working within the field of ID/DD preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Experience in computer skills and ability to teach others.
- College-level writing ability.
- Assertiveness/leadership skills and clinical skills.
