Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator I to join our dynamic team at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule all patient appointments related to treatment within Fred Hutch, as well as outside consults and referrals, and communicate schedules directly to patients.
  • Patient Support: Work closely with patients, families, visitors, providers, and staff to identify needs, answer questions, resolve problems, provide information, and follow up.
  • Communication: Communicate with providers, technologists, and nurses regarding patient scheduling needs, treatment schedules, and additional requests.
  • Problem-Solving: Recognize emergency situations and initiate correct code procedures.
  • Team Support: Support the overall function of the department and may be required to take on additional duties such as cross-coverage, special projects, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize concurrent responsibilities and demands. Proficient in the use of word processing, email, and data entry in a Windows-based environment.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient care setting preferred.
What We Offer

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers a competitive hourly pay range of $28.16 to $40.09, which includes the per diem differential, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. We also offer access to a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program, and paid sick leave.
