Job Summary

The Bowen Group Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Personal Financial Counselor to join our team in St. Louis. As a key member of our team, you will provide financial education and counseling services to military personnel and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial planning and counseling to military personnel and their families to help them achieve financial stability and security.
  • Teach money management techniques and educate on credit, finance charges, interest rates, and the implications of only paying the minimum amount each month.
  • Establish, monitor, and protect credit, and teach Service Members to make informed decisions and be aware of associated costs.
  • Educate and counsel Service Members on their retirement systems and provide financial models to assist them in establishing a comprehensive retirement plan.
  • Support and educate individuals and families to help address specific needs, including the provision of appropriate resource referrals.
Requirements
  • High School or equivalent education.
  • Three (3) years' experience in training development and delivery, public speaking, group presentations, and facilitation skills, preferably in adult education, medical or non-medical setting.
  • National certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) OR Certified Financial Planner (CFP) OR Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and maintain CEU's and remain current on annual accreditation renewals.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous military experience (including military spouses and/or as a service provider).
  • Understanding, sensitivity, and empathy for Service Members and their family members.
  • Knowledge of military benefits, resources, and services.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
