Position Summary: We are seeking a Java Microservices Lead responsible for the comprehensive delivery and enhancement of Spring Boot microservices. The ideal candidate will possess both domain knowledge and technical expertise to effectively analyze business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers and development engineers to define and document product features and dependencies.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency throughout various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Design, Development, QA, Deployment, and Triage.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, teamwork, and collaboration, where excellence is recognized and diversity is valued.

Location: This position is available in multiple locations. Candidates should be within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Travel to project locations may be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Feign Client, Java 8, and Jira.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of deliverables and provide status updates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Order Management concepts.
  • Experience with tools such as ALM, JIRA, Splunk, Linux CLI commands, Concourse, and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of various microservices components including Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, Service Registry, Configuration Server, Service Orchestration, and Service Discovery.
  • Experience in defect triaging and root cause analysis.
  • Understanding of the full product development lifecycle, including functional and technical specifications, product use cases, user stories, implementation, QA processes, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead projects and present to senior leadership.
  • Aptitude for working in a diverse, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Desire to work in a global delivery setting.

Work Environment: The role requires extended periods of sitting and working at a computer. Communication may occur via telephone, email, or face-to-face interactions. Travel may be necessary based on job requirements.
