The Senior Mortgage Banker for Community Engagement will be responsible for cultivating and nurturing relationships with branch managers, real estate professionals, and builders within the designated service area. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multicultural outreach initiatives for the Mortgage Division.
  • Support Renasant's mission related to community development by promoting loans that meet Community Reinvestment Act criteria.
  • Position Renasant Bank as a leading partner for multicultural organizations within its operational footprint.
  • Effectively communicate with the Retail sales team regarding multicultural and CRA opportunities.
  • Document and report at least two multicultural/CRA outreach activities weekly.
  • Serve as the representative for Community Outreach and Mortgage Origination within the Retail Mortgage Division.
  • Collaborate with the Mortgage Division sales team to organize seminars and training sessions on mortgage products and participate in relevant business events.
  • Originate a variety of 1-4 family residential loans.
  • Set and maintain written objectives in partnership with the Mortgage Banking Department.
  • Oversee loan production in the assigned service area.
  • Maintain an updated status report of all loan applications in progress.
  • Provide monthly reports on outreach efforts to banks, realtors, and builders.
  • Advise potential borrowers on suitable loan products based on their needs.
  • Arrange meetings to assist clients in completing mortgage applications at convenient locations.
  • Gather necessary documentation for loan closings promptly and maintain a comprehensive status report.
  • Assist clients with any closing contingencies.
  • Prepare accurate Loan Estimates within 72 hours of application submission.
  • Keep realtors informed with weekly updates on loan progress.
  • Educate branch staff on conforming loan requirements and customer inquiries.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local real estate professionals, regularly updating them on available mortgage programs.
  • Conduct market surveys to stay informed about local trends.
  • Establish priority accounts with realtors, builders, and title companies, ensuring regular visits.
  • Facilitate seminars for local realtors and new associates on various lending topics.
  • Engage actively in local organizations related to mortgage loan production.
  • Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in originating 1-4 family residential mortgage products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA, FHA, VA, and general mortgage banking procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with the public.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts rapidly.
  • Professional representation of Renasant Bank, embodying a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within the Bank's operational areas.
