Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at GI Associates of West Alabama. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient interviews, examinations, and diagnoses to identify injuries and illnesses.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes to promote patient well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical histories and records.
  • Provide documentation for insurance companies and communicate with patients and their families.
  • Stay current with the latest medical research, innovations, and trends in the field.
  • Participate in outreach programs, make house calls, and visit nursing homes to provide care to patients in need.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Physician Assistant education.
  • Clinical training experience and a commitment to ongoing continuing education.
  • An Alabama state license to practice medicine.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with attention to detail and good problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients.
