Grants Manager

Raritan Valley Community College is seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to join our team. As a key member of our grants development and management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the College's strategic priorities and ensuring compliance with grant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage grant development initiatives, including identifying grant opportunities, developing proposals, and submitting grants to external funding agencies.
- Provide budgetary guidance to project directors and compliance oversight for grants awarded to the College, ensuring proper allocation of funds and adherence to grant objectives.
- Maintain an internal grants manual, updating forms and processes as needed, and assist with budget management, reporting requirements, and record-keeping to ensure grant compliance.
- Support the Director of Grants in providing guidance to faculty and administrators on grant funding allocations, improving educational programming, and addressing ongoing changes to grant performance measures.
- Prepare electronic grant applications, submissions, and amendments, ensuring funds are expended within the grant period, compliance with regulations, and maintenance of necessary grant records.
- Confer with external grant officials for clarification, amendments, monitoring, or audit visits, as needed.
- Prepare and maintain grant reports on grant opportunities, submitted proposals, unfunded proposals, and grant awards.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with proposals and administration of sponsored grants, preferably in higher education or the nonprofit sector.
- Ability to work independently and simultaneously on multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced teamwork environment.
- Flexibility to accommodate and adjust to changes in workload.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Skilled in financial analysis, accounting procedures, and budget reconciliations.
- Strong collaborative and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with integrated database systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- High functioning knowledge of Banner, EWEG, SAGE, and Grants.Gov finance and grants management systems.
