Job Summary

This entry-level management position focuses on supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations, encompassing Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services. The ideal candidate will assist in working with employees to carry out guest arrival and departure procedures, maintaining the property's cleanliness standards, and ensuring guest and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the management of Rooms Operations activities, including opening and closing Front Desk shifts, reviewing critical information in room operations reports, and understanding the functions of various departments.
  • Operate department equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure employees have the necessary supplies and uniforms.
  • Understand and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures, communicate performance expectations to employees, and handle employee questions and concerns.
  • Effectively schedule employees to meet business demands and track employee time and attendance.
  • Contribute to managing departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals and understand the impact of Room Operations on the overall property financial goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the investigation of employee and guest accidents, use a guest information tracking system to recognize guest preferences, and set a positive example for guest relations.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, effectively responding to and handling guest problems and complaints.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional area.
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major; 1 year of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related professional area.
