Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Examination of Patients: Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following departmental guidelines, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Operate, adjust, and ensure the safety of ultrasound equipment, preventing hazards and ensuring optimal performance.
  • Equipment Setup and Operation: Set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Supply Management: Ensure the availability of necessary supplies, maintaining a well-stocked inventory.
  • Mentorship and Training: Assist in the orientation and mentorship of new ultrasound personnel, providing guidance and support.
  • Image Capture and Transfer: Capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Administrative Support: Answer phones, schedule examinations, and coordinate transportation as needed, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as required, contributing to the smooth operation of our diagnostic imaging department.

Requirements:

  • Registration and Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with office and administrative practices, and competence in personal computer use and related software.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.

Education: Graduate of a two-year ultrasound program with clinical and didactic education.
