Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

At Mitchell Martin, we are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role involves evaluating images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed, and preparing and setting up medical supplies using aseptic techniques if appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mammography and be familiar with MQSA, QC, and diagnostic imaging protocols. Knowledge of Digital Breast Tomosynthesis is a plus, and experience in 3D scans and stereo is ideal.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluates images for diagnostic quality, obtaining additional images as needed.
- Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques if appropriate.
- Explains procedures to patients.
- Prints film or burns CDs if warranted.
- Matches with the appropriate paperwork for other related duties incidental to the work therein.
- Produces high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
- Treats patients and customers, including family members or care providers that may accompany the patient, with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
- Monitors patients' well-being during exam; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
Requirements:
- NYS Licensed Mammography Tech
- ARRT (M) Certification & Card
- Must be familiar with MQSA, QC, and diagnostic imaging protocols
- Knowledgeable Digital Breast Tomosynthesis is a plus
- Ideal is experience in 3D scans & Stereo - will train
- Minimum 2 years of experience
