Job Title: Assistant Meat Manager

Weis Markets is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Meat Manager to join our team. As a key member of our meat department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage the daily operations of the meat department, including inventory management, ordering, and receiving.
  • Supervise and train meat department associates to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards of quality and customer service.
  • Develop and implement sales and merchandising plans to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and control department expenses, including labor costs and inventory levels.
  • Ensure that all department policies and procedures are followed, including food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to achieve company goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail or restaurant environment, with a focus on meat management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
