The Resident Advisor II role at Children's Home Association of Illinois (CHAIL) is a dynamic opportunity to work with youth of all ages in a Supervised Independent Living Program (SILP) setting. As a key member of our team, you will provide care, welfare, safety, security, and protection of clients' rights in accordance with individual service plans, program plans, and applicable licensing/accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities- Work directly with clients to provide therapeutic services in accordance with agency mission, residential treatment philosophy, and program goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure comprehensive support and services.
- Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate actions and achieve program objectives.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in youth care and supervision.
- Bachelor's Degree in social services or related field preferred or high school diploma with experience working with children and youth in residential, group homes, family services, juvenile justice, foster care, and special education settings.
- Child care skills and ability to work objectively with disturbed children.
- Dependability, ability to work independently, and demonstrated maturity and sensitivity to cultural and individual differences in children and families served.
- Ability to handle job-related matters in a professional, diplomatic, and confidential manner.
- Valid driver's license and insurance card, and ability to transport self and clients to various locations.
- PTO (paid-time-off) accrual 3 weeks first year (full-time)
