Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Associate to support the Rule of Law Program at The Carter Center. The successful candidate will assist in organizing, coordinating, and planning operational facets of the program's projects, working with headquarters, country office staff, consultants, and external experts to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and gather accurate information to develop publications, reports, speeches, briefings, newsletters, promotional materials, grants, or other written materials related to the program.
  • Develop and manage relational databases, establish and forecast budget requirements, and monitor expenditures.
  • Prepare operational and statistical reports to assist in effective decision-making, conduct training, represent the program at international meetings and conferences, and network with affiliated groups.
  • Assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives, plan, administer, or monitor the program's budget or related grants.
  • Supervise staff, perform related responsibilities as required, and ensure compliance with Emory University's policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Master's degree in international studies, political science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong collaborative problem-solving and analytic skills, a high level of personal energy, positive attitude, and ability to work in a team setting are essential.
  • Exceptional initiative and follow-through skills that deliver measurable results are crucial.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and facility with computers are a must.
