Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain effective communication with BFCC QIO and involved healthcare providers, ensuring seamless collaboration and compliance with EMTALA regulations.
  • Develop and implement written Initial and Final Sanction Notices and EMTALA communications, showcasing exceptional writing skills and attention to detail.
  • Manage case files, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of all supporting materials.
  • Monitor provider Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), providing technical assistance and guidance for refining CAP data and driving continuous improvement.
  • Produce monthly summaries for COR reports, highlighting key findings and insights.
  • Collaborate with the OIG team to develop and implement written referral procedures, ensuring timely and effective resolution of complex issues.
  • Review EMTALA referrals, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for enhanced compliance.
  • Facilitate Sanction and 60-day EMTALA hearings, demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • An unrestricted, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a short-term acute care hospital or skilled nursing facility.
