**Job Summary**

Geartec, Inc. is seeking an experienced Gear Product Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing and repair facilities, you will work closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to support the development and production of high-quality gearboxes.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Diagnose and determine repair scope for incoming gearboxes to be repaired and used gears for supplied for rework
  • Collaborate with our quality control inspectors to reverse engineer parts to be repaired or replaced
  • Coordinate the disassembly and cleaning process for gearboxes to ensure timely determination of the scope of work
  • Create detailed reports and estimates to assist our customer service team with the quotation process
  • Review and create manufacturing routings to process component parts, including creating inspection plans as necessary
  • Provide technical support to our manufacturing team, including disassembly and assembly of gearboxes to ensure all customer requirements are satisfied
  • Occasional trips to customer sites to review equipment or provide technical presentations

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and organization, set goals, and work as part of a team
  • Proficient with 3-D modeling software, preferably AutoCAD Inventor
  • Knowledge and experience with gear machining and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in the mechanical drive/power transmission industry preferred, with understanding of bearings, shafting, oil seals, and supporting housing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate with MS Office applications; design experience with Inventor/AutoCad a plus
