Position Overview:
The Financial Services Associate role encompasses a variety of functions within the Retail Branch. This position involves opening new accounts, managing customer account services, processing teller transactions, and assisting in the oversight of branch cash and vault operations.

The Financial Services Associate will also identify additional banking needs of customers to strengthen and enhance relationships. It is essential to inform customers about the various digital and online tools available to improve their Bankwell experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and deliver promised services.
- Promote bank products and services by recognizing the unique requirements of each customer.
- Execute all Sales and Lead Teller duties.
- Maintain vault and ATM cash within prescribed limits.
- Accurately process customer transactions in a timely manner.
- Provide coaching to branch staff to facilitate better consultative interactions.
- Set an example by professionally greeting lobby customers and answering calls.
- Gather necessary information and documentation for new accounts.
- Address routine inquiries and filter customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures in daily activities.

Additional responsibilities may include assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly branch and ATM reconciliations, balancing general ledgers, and performing other operational tasks, including audits. The Financial Services Associate may also assist in opening and closing the branch and support other branch personnel as needed. In the absence of the Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager, this role will oversee branch operations.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems, along with digital and online banking services.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Digital literacy and customer service expertise or prior sales experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and customer-focused communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage challenging situations and customers.
- Team-oriented with attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information.
- High integrity and ethical standards.
- Cash handling and mathematical proficiency.
- Capability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in consumer, business banking, or retail services.
