Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Robinson, Inc. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and providing support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and temporary staff.
  • Review and verify timekeeping records for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Calculate and process overtime, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Ensure proper deductions for taxes, benefits, and other withholdings.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Provide support to employees and management regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues.
  • Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management review.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end payroll documents, including W-2 forms.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years' experience in payroll processing for a mid-sized company or division.
  • Proficiency in Payroll Software and Microsoft Excel; UKG experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of payroll best practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
