Nurse Practitioner

MaineHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in an Ambulatory Care setting. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, responding to patient inquiries, and coordinating care both at the office and at outside facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with total patient care by performing clinical duties, responding to patient telephone inquiries, and coordinating care both at the office and at outside facilities.
- Work under the direction of physicians to provide patient care, respond to patient needs, and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics, including disease management, medication adherence, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Active State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- BSN preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors, and other staff.
- Skill in time management, problem-solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret physicians' orders and notes from other providers.
- Ability to calculate and administer drug dosages and injections and measure results.
- Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient computer skills.
