Job Opportunity at We Rock the Spectrum Ann Arbor

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Coach to join our team at We Rock the Spectrum Ann Arbor. As a Coach, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and inclusive environment for children of all abilities to thrive and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure the well-being and safety of all children.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to guarantee a secure environment for play and exploration.
  • Provide guidance and support to children as they engage with gym equipment and activities.
  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere where children of all abilities can feel empowered and valued.
  • Collaborate with fellow coaches and staff to maintain a positive and welcoming gym environment.
  • Clean and maintain gym equipment and shared spaces, including cleaning up after meals and keeping play areas tidy.
  • Manage front desk operations, including checking guests in, processing payments, and handling concessions and retail transactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to gym members and guests.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm to work with children of all abilities.
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably those with special needs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and CPR certification.
  • Weekend availability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Additional Information:

  • Schedules may change periodically to meet customer needs.
  • Coaches may work with children who exhibit challenging behaviors, such as biting or hitting. We will provide training as needed to manage these situations.
