Key Responsibilities Include:
- Adhering to all relevant federal, state, accreditation, and institutional regulations and guidelines.
- Delivering theoretical, practical, and service-oriented components of designated courses in alignment with TTIOC's established curriculum and educational objectives.
- Conducting classes according to the scheduled timetable, ensuring punctuality and adherence to break times.
- Maintaining precise and timely documentation of student attendance, academic performance, and progress.
- Implementing classroom management policies, including attendance tracking and dress code enforcement.
- Providing individualized student advisement, academic support, and tutoring as needed.
- Collaborating with the Director of Education and Campus Director regarding students who may be at risk in terms of attendance, grades, and overall academic progress.
- Creating and executing engaging, student-centered classroom activities, allowing students to practice services on clients as required by TTIOC.
- Participating in faculty meetings and professional development training sessions.
- Complying with requirements for Continuing Education Units.
- Maintaining professional and instructional competencies through TTIOC-provided training and independent development opportunities.
- Achieving or surpassing student retention goals established by TTIOC leadership.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Education and Campus Director.
- Reaching out to students who are absent as directed by the educational leadership.
- Providing client services when necessary or as instructed, particularly in response to student attendance.
- Demonstrating, coaching, and mentoring students in essential service skills and techniques.
Performance Metrics: The effectiveness of the instructor is evaluated based on student attendance rates, participation in faculty meetings and training, achievement of retention goals, and feedback from Student Satisfaction Surveys, Classroom Observations, Evaluations, and End of Course Surveys.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possession of a current and valid professional license issued by the state (TDLR).
- A High School Diploma along with a professional training Certificate or Diploma is required.
- Experience in instructional roles or salon business is preferred.
- Strong verbal communication skills are essential.
- Exemplary professionalism and customer service abilities are required.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a team setting with students and clients.
- Additional responsibilities may apply.
Success Indicators:
- Achieving or exceeding student retention goals set by the Director of Education, with a minimum expectation of 95% monthly retention.
- Maintaining 95% attendance rates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Receiving positive feedback from students on satisfaction surveys.
- Understanding the non-physical and mental demands of the role.
- The physical requirements include performing client services, standing, walking, sitting, handling paperwork, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Mental demands involve alertness, precision, problem-solving, analytical thinking, memory, concentration, judgment, writing skills, reasoning, initiative, and patience.
