Job Title: Licensed Barber Instructor

At Total Transformation Institute of Cosmetology, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Barber Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to our students, helping them develop the technical and soft skills needed to succeed in their new careers.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Teach theory, didactic, and hands-on components of assigned courses or programs according to our standardized curriculum and course objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of students' attendance and academic grades.
  • Enforce classroom management policies and processes, including attendance taking and program-related dress code.
  • Conduct one-on-one student advisements, course-specific student academic remediation, and student coaching/tutoring.
  • Communicate with the Director of Education and Campus Director regarding students at risk for attendance, grades, services, and hours.
  • Develop and implement student-centered and engaging classroom activities, including having students perform services to clients as needed.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Meet or exceed student retention objectives as set by the TTIOC, Director of Education, and Campus Director.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Meeting student attendance expectations.
  • Attendance and participation at faculty meetings and in-service trainings.
  • Achieving student retention objectives.
  • Feedback received through Student Satisfaction Surveys, Classroom Observation and Evaluations, and End of Course Surveys.
Essential Experience, Education, and Skillset:
  • Current and valid professional license issued by the state (TDLR).
  • High School Diploma and professional training Certificate or Diploma.
  • Preferred instructional or salon business working experience.
  • Strong verbal communication delivery.
  • Level of professionalism and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment with students and customers.
Key Success Factors:
  • Meeting or exceeding student retention objectives.
  • Attaining 95% daily, weekly, and monthly student attendance.
  • Receiving overall positive student feedback on student satisfaction surveys.
