Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous-Chefs with daily opening and closing tasks, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
- Guide and motivate the kitchen team to consistently exceed guest expectations.
- Enforce uniform and grooming standards, conducting daily checks to uphold professionalism.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared according to established portion sizes and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring food quality, temperature control, and sanitation standards are met.
- Oversee the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including storage spaces and equipment.
- Monitor the condition of food preparation tools and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs to the chefs.
- Manage the proper storage of all food items, adhering to best practices.
- Participate in monthly inventory assessments for the kitchen.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure exceptional service and product delivery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and complete all required training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proficient in English communication.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Current food safety certification.
- Experience in food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations.
- Background in culinary education or experience in a high-volume dining environment.
- Physical capability to perform tasks requiring mobility, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
