Position Summary

The role of the Electrical Maintenance Technician is pivotal in executing repairs and conducting preventative electrical maintenance throughout our operations. This position involves troubleshooting, responding to maintenance requests, and collaborating closely with production supervisors to ensure seamless operational efficiency. Additionally, the technician will maintain essential records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify extensive PLC and HMI programs for various systems, including:
    • Allen Bradley
    • Modicon
    • Omron
    • PLC5
    • SLC5
    • Control Logix
    • Motion Control
  • Establish and troubleshoot control networks for:
    • EtherNet/IP
    • DeviceNet
    • DH-485
    • Modbus
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Address issues within process control systems
  • Adhere to GMP standards in all tasks
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and FSMA guidelines within the department

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficient in software tools including:
  • RS Logix 500 and 5000
  • ProWorks32
  • Wonderware
  • FactoryTalk
  • Extensive experience in electrical systems
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial electronics and instrumentation
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, control power, drive systems, and troubleshooting principles
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Able to work in diverse temperature and climate conditions
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures (e.g., lockout/tagout, confined space)
  • Ability to interpret blueprints
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a dynamic and often noisy production environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team
  • Preferred experience in electrical troubleshooting within high-speed packaging or automated continuous process environments

Compensation and Benefits
