Job Summary:

Excel Fitness is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Member Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in promoting our Judgement Free Zone and upholding our core values and business drivers during each scheduled shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive club atmosphere.
  • Monitor and maintain club cleanliness and organization.
  • Ensure all necessary training has been completed to operate safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the store meets Excel Standard.
  • Process and review daily club activity paperwork and file accordingly.
  • Audit and balance cash drawers daily.
  • Update and review daily club reports and complete any necessary data entry documents.
  • Maintain and clean the front entrance to provide a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines and address any minor infractions.
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for all members.
  • Communicate effectively with members and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Stock retail and promotional items for the next shift.
  • Perform daily club inspections and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
  • Understand and adhere to company standards, audit daily paperwork, and resolve day-to-day customer issues.
  • Audit club inventory and communicate with management on inventory orders.
  • Stay up-to-date on required certifications and training courses.
  • Communicate with, promote, tour, and assist prospects and potential members.
  • Assist management with club promotions, training, and operational strategies.
  • Ensure the facility complies with state and federal laws and insurance requirements.
  • Operate and assist members with use of tanning, hydro, and total body enhancement equipment, ensuring all necessary paperwork and procedures are followed.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Familiarity with Excel's mission, values, vision, and culture, as well as the Planet Fitness brand and operational requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Team-oriented, motivated, and well-organized.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a fitness club environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. The noise level in the club environment may be loud on a regular basis.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
