Key Responsibilities:
1. Generate monthly and annual financial reports for assigned grants and projects, collaborating closely with principal investigators and the departmental finance team.
2. Conduct in-depth financial analyses of assigned accounts to identify potential issues, document findings for audit purposes, and propose actionable solutions.
3. Facilitate discussions with principal investigators to review grant expenditures and balances, offering guidance on related financial matters.
4. Serve as a knowledgeable resource for principal investigators and administrative staff regarding financial services, policies, and procedures.
5. Manage effort certification processes for faculty and grants, overseeing payroll distributions and budgetary implications.
6. Act as the primary contact for resolving issues related to sponsored activities within assigned accounts.

Qualifications:
All required qualifications must be clearly documented in application materials.
Required:
- BA/BS degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience totaling at least six years.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, report generation, and budgeting.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and a willingness to embrace challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and a customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with experience in data analysis and reconciliation across multiple systems.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with senior management and principal investigators.
- Familiarity with university systems and sponsored accounting regulations.
- Certification as an Approver.
- Proven ability to proactively address and resolve complex financial issues.
