Job Title: Bucket Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bucket Operator to join our team. As a Bucket Operator, you will be responsible for operating an aerial lift device (bucket truck) to remove branches and tree material from utility lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a bucket truck to reach branches interfering with electric lines
  • Assist with the clearing and removal of trees along electrical power lines and right-of-ways
  • Perform tree and bucket rescue
  • Use hand tools, such as axes, hand-lines, saws, block and tackle, pruners, etc.
  • Clean up and dispose of all debris
  • Spray brush and stumps, making proper and selective application of herbicides
  • Train new personnel

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be familiar with the electrical hazard
  • Possesses working knowledge and can identify tree and shrub species
  • Work demands physical energy, twisting, some lifting ability, and hand-to-eye coordination
