As a key member of our mailroom team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient distribution of our newspapers. Your responsibilities will include assembling, mailing, and dispatching newspapers, as well as operating various machinery and equipment. You will also be responsible for lifting and stacking bundles weighing up to 30 pounds, transporting skids of newspapers and inserts using a forklift or electric jack, and manually placing bundles of paper on and taking off of a conveyor belt. Additionally, you will operate conveyor belt controls, feed stacks of papers into an inserting machine, and run and repair collating and inserting machines. You will also change spools of materials weighing up to 50 pounds with the use of lifting tools, wrap and bundle materials using a machine, and mechanically operate various electro-mechanical machinery. Furthermore, you will dispatch materials to various locations in the rack, enter, verify, and monitor dispatch information using a computer, and cut metal and plastic bands from around skids. If you are a detail-oriented and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
