Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients, utilizing independent technical judgment with minimal supervision.

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the LPN is responsible for observing, documenting, and communicating changes in patient conditions, while also contributing to the development and modification of personalized care plans.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and psychological needs.
  • Work autonomously to deliver effective interventions for veterans facing complex health challenges.
  • Adhere to established nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
  • Assist in identifying and addressing the needs of veterans, recognizing subtle changes in their conditions and responding appropriately.
  • Participate in creating educational resources aimed at enhancing patient and family understanding of health management.
  • Conduct health education sessions focused on self-care, prevention, and wellness tailored to individual patient goals.
Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:
  • Walking, standing, and sitting for extended periods.
  • Lifting and transferring patients, with a maximum weight of up to 50 lbs.
  • Engaging in activities such as bending, stooping, and pushing.

Successful candidates will demonstrate visual acuity, auditory skills, clear communication abilities, and manual dexterity.

Work Schedule:
This position operates on a standard weekday schedule, promoting a balanced work-life environment. Requirements:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and possess a valid, unrestricted license as a practical nurse. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
