Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily administrative operations of a multi-physician, single/multiple practice, and will play a key role in coordinating administrative functions, planning, and supporting program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership to Operations team members and supervisors, guiding them towards achieving department objectives.
  • Develop, communicate, and build consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
  • Coordinate administrative functions, plans, and supports program development, including growth objectives, space allocation, procurement of technological equipment, data planning, and capital requirements.
  • Monitor program components relative to criteria by regulatory agencies and collaborate with the Research Institute to oversee Research operations.
  • Manage department/division in a fiscally responsible manner, assisting in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets.
  • Support or may assist with key functions, including scheduling, insurance verification, co-pay collection, charge capture, and referral management.
  • Oversee scheduling and ensure adequate coverage at all times, performing related personnel functions.
  • Identify and implement technology to improve operations, maintaining accurate and current files on all department budgets, capital equipment requests, and programs related to operational issues.
  • Act as a liaison between attending physicians, patients, visitors, guests, and staff, demonstrating the ability to answer any questions that might arise.
  • Coordinate and oversee the resources of multiple administrative disciplines/functions, collaborating with administrative leadership, chairs, physicians, and other clinical personnel to develop, implement, and oversee clinical programs.
  • Optimize billing practices and collection of Part B revenues, coordinating physician schedules pertaining to division services.
  • Establish and maintain a working relationship with the physician staff with respect to their compliance and performance related to billing, coding, and regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure the continual efficient and compliant operational performance of the department/division, ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations and making certain these are properly and completely addressed in Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Review all changes in various regulatory agency standards and/or public health law and ensure that these are represented in the Policy and Procedure Manuals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience, required.
