C.A. Goldberg, PLLC is seeking a Litigation Associate to join our dedicated team.

C.A. Goldberg, PLLC is a law firm committed to advocating for individuals who have suffered injuries. Our legal strategies are tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients, whether that involves pursuing aggressive litigation or seeking quiet resolutions. We represent victims of sexual violence, stalking, gender-based violence, and personal injury.

The Associate will engage in various aspects of our legal practice, representing victims against major technology companies. Our firm is a staunch advocate for holding online platforms accountable for the harm they inflict. The Associate will manage a caseload that includes litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as family court matters.

While we provide mental health support, candidates must possess their own coping mechanisms for handling sensitive topics. The role involves working with trauma survivors and may expose the Associate to distressing content, including cases of child abuse, intimate partner violence, image-based abuse, online harassment, drug overdoses, and other serious matters.

Our firm’s adversarial stance towards major technology companies is a fundamental principle. We cannot consider candidates who reside with individuals currently employed by TikTok, Amazon, Snap, Google, Grindr, or Meta, or those who serve as outside counsel for these companies.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-9 years of litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated background in providing direct services related to intimate partner violence, sexual violence, personal injury, multi-district litigation, and victims' rights.
  • Must be in good standing to practice law in New York State.
  • We welcome applications from both experienced and less experienced candidates.

The ideal candidate is personable and eager to connect with allies in the movement. You are a creative lawyer with a willingness to take risks, excited about the prospect of filing impactful lawsuits and navigating the complexities of legal reporting.

Additional Information:

  • This is a full-time position.
  • The role requires occasional travel for conferences and client meetings.
  • The anticipated annual salary ranges from $100,000 to $140,000, based on experience, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and holidays.
  • Our office environment promotes well-being, featuring amenities such as a clinical social worker, fitness equipment, and a pet-friendly atmosphere.

Core Values:

All team members are expected to align with our five core values:

  • Pursue Radical Justice: Advocate fiercely for clients to rectify injustices and restore fairness.
  • Live to Fight Another Day: Model resilience and transformation for clients.
  • Do It with Love: Approach our work with compassion and respect for all.
  • Purpose Above All Else: Stay focused on our mission and strive for excellence.
  • No Exceptions: Hold all parties accountable without bias.

We are dedicated to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within our workplace. We value individual experiences, recognizing that they enhance our creativity and resilience as a team. We encourage applications from BIPOC individuals, those of all gender expressions, sexual orientations, people with disabilities, veterans, and formerly incarcerated individuals. C.A. Goldberg, PLLC is an equal opportunity employer, making hiring decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability status, age, or any other status protected by law.
