About the Role

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist II to join our commercial risk team in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients, and undertaking client-facing and internal activities related to these processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Account Executives and Associate Account Executives on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients.
  • Undertake client-facing and internal activities related to these processes, including complex client management and internal activities.
  • Assist Brokers as necessary, particularly on Commercial Risk business.
  • Perform submission assembly/creation, facilitate the timely and accurate flow of information between clients and account team members, and handle client open items lists and respond to client ad-hoc requests.
  • Gather and analyze data, draft stewardship reports, and create convincing presentations tailored to the needs of the audience and the circumstances of the presentation.
  • Actively support and monitor the renewal process, draft quote comparisons, and follow up for binders, policies, and endorsements.
  • Collaborate with Aon Client Services (ACS) to ensure that key processes assigned are performed efficiently and the quality of client deliverables.
  • Primary collaborator with Premium Accounting on client billing matters.
  • Receive and handle routine and sophisticated coverage inquiries and endorsement requests.
  • Serve as key client liaison for items such as certificates, auto IDs, location additions, invoices, Worker's Compensation posting notices, allocations, premium finance agreements, summaries of insurance, and policy transmittals.
  • Monitor and follow-up on invoice generation, fee agreements, receivables, and collections, and address and resolve problems.
  • May provide guidance and mentoring to a less senior account specialist, delegate work to support staff and ACS where applicable, and ensure tools are understood and used.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of previous commercial insurance experience preferred.
  • Property and casualty brokers license preferred or to be obtained within 120 days of start date.
  • Maintains effective and positive relationships with clients, serves independently in a client-facing capacity on matters of moderate importance and complexity, and performs submission assembly/creation.
