Job Summary

As the Director of Rooms Operations, you will be responsible for leading the strategic business direction of the property's Rooms Operations. This includes overseeing Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, and Housekeeping departments. You will work closely with direct reports to develop and implement departmental strategies, ensuring alignment with the brand's service strategy and initiatives. Your goal will be to drive Rooms Operations to meet or exceed brand standards, focus on growing revenues, and maximize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement departmental strategies to drive Rooms Operations performance
  • Lead and manage Front Office, Recreation/Health Club, and Housekeeping departments
  • Collaborate with direct reports to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze service issues and trends to identify areas for improvement
  • Make decisions to drive Rooms Operations forward and achieve business goals
  • Work with Rooms management team to develop an operational strategy aligned with the brand's business strategy
  • Monitor Rooms operations sales performance against budget and review reports and financial statements to determine performance
  • Coach and support operations team to effectively manage occupancy & rate, wages, and controllable expenses
  • Champion the brand's service vision for product and service delivery and ensure alignment amongst Rooms leadership teams
  • Develop systems to enable associates to understand guest satisfaction results
  • Communicate a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results
Requirements
  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, management operations, or related professional area
Benefits

Marriott International offers a competitive salary range of $108,000 to $134,000 annually, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
