Position Overview:
Lake Charles Care Center, a skilled nursing facility with 182 beds, is currently seeking a dedicated Van Driver to operate our facility vehicle.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will exhibit compassion for the elderly, reliability, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Safely transport residents to and from their appointments using a company vehicle
  • Provide assistance to residents during appointments and at the facility during non-appointment hours

Qualifications:
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not mandatory
  • Must have a clean driving record, with no more than one (1) moving violation or accident in the last three years, and no license suspensions or revocations in the past five years
  • Completion of a company-provided Defensive Driving course is required
  • Ability to follow both oral and written instructions
  • Work effectively as a team member, both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and communicate effectively with the elderly population
  • Ability to assess and interpret data reflecting residents' needs and requirements based on their age-specific needs

Compensation:
Competitive salary starting at $12.75 per hour
