Plasma Center Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the plasma center, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP.

• Manage staff to ensure training and quality goals are met, implementing operational changes to maximize center efficiency.

• Develop and maintain a positive organizational environment, stimulating morale and productivity among employees and leadership.

• Monitor and evaluate operations, developing action plans to improve center efficiency and supervise the implementation of process improvements.

• Manage headcount to provide efficient staffing through high and low production intervals, providing accurate and timely projections to the management team.

• Accountable for the direction of all personnel functions, including hiring, assignment, and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions, and termination, as well as the maintenance of all personnel records.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Oversee donor selection, plasma collection, and shipment, ensuring records completion.

• Accountable for the adequacy of inventory of all goods and supplies necessary for center operations, overseeing ordering as needed.

• Ensure center employees maintain the facility in a neat and clean condition, with all equipment kept in good working order.

• Accountable for freezer management, including overseeing plasma shipments and equipment failures, answering all freezer alarms and dealing with them appropriately.

• Develop community representation for public relations and marketing campaigns to attract and retain donors.

• Maintain thorough familiarity and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and cGMP.

• Direct the management team and Training and Quality staff to ensure training and quality goals are met.

• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction with the center, supporting long-term donation.

• Work with Div/Corp management to prepare the annual budget and manage the facility to consistently achieve production targets and quality goals at the agreed-upon cost structure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Science, Business, Nursing, Finance, or a related field.

• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience in clinical or general business experience, with supervisory experience preferred but not required.

• Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment preferred, with experience in plasma or whole blood preferred.
