Industrial Concrete Superintendent

Job Summary:
Dunn Building Company LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Concrete Superintendent to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing the activities of workers involved in the construction of buildings, concrete foundations, and other construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs the activities of workers involved in construction projects, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget.
- Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction, taking into account starting and completion times, and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
- Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors to ensure that work procedures are executed correctly and that specifications are met.
- Inspects work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and that construction schedules are adhered to.
- Prepares and reviews reports on progress, materials used, and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports.
- Directs workers involved in major maintenance or reconditioning projects for existing installations.
- Ensures that safety rules and regulations are followed, and that a safe working environment is maintained.
- Provides on-the-job training for subordinates and works with human resources to hire and/or transfer employees as needed.
- Supervises 1-2 subordinate supervisors who manage a team of 8-10 employees, and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Requirements:
- Four to ten years of related experience and/or training.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to speak Spanish.
- Experience in both concrete and steel construction.
Working Conditions:
The Industrial Concrete Superintendent will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and high, precarious places. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
