Concrete Form Carpenter Job Description

B&B Concrete is seeking a skilled Concrete Form Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for preparing, pouring, placing, and finishing concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand construction drawings and prints to ensure accurate form setup.
  • Assemble and set up wood or metal forms for concrete structures, including floors, slabs, walls, columns, and tilt-walls.
  • Verify the accuracy of structures using a plumb bob, carpenter's level, laser, and/or digital transit.
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
  • Communicate with team members and supervisors regarding any issues, materials required, or safety hazards identified.
  • Ensure all equipment is in safe working condition.
  • Signal concrete deliverers to position trucks for pouring.
  • Observe and comply with all safety policies and guidelines.
  • Assist with concrete placement as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the construction or contracting industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
